Tourists are being encouraged to visit regional Western Australia, but who is there to greet them and ensure they have a great experience once they arrive?
Mullewa Community Resource Centre (CRC) receives support from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, but it has operated the visitor centre for 12 years without additional government funding.
Staff say that responsibility could soon fall to local businesses due to budget and resource pressures.
Up to 150 people come through the doors every day and almost 5,000 tourists access the centre's services during this year's wildflower season.
