Cut loose from WA ownership for the first time, will Perth's popular Wildcats still feel the love?

For the first time in the Perth Wildcats' illustrious history, the team's ownership has moved outside its home state of Western Australia.

When high-profile Perth businessman and philanthropist Jack Bendat sold the Wildcats to Melbourne-based media company, Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) last month, he brought to an end a 14-year ownership era that saw the Wildcats become one of the most successful sporting organisations in the country.
