The Federal Government has urged Australians to reconsider their need to travel to China, an escalation of the warning to now encapsulate the entire nation as coronavirus continues to spread. Foreign Minister Marie Payne announced just after midnight that the Department of Foreign Affairs had raised its warning status after consultations with the Chinese Government. "We now advise you to 'reconsider your need to travel' to China overall, due to the outbreak of novel #coronavirus & travel restrictions by local authorities," she posted on Twitter.
