Perth's isolation charming, but maybe not its price tag

You can’t change geography – Perth is the world’s most isolated capital city and there is no problem having that tag associated with it unless you’re the tourism minister.

Last week Paul Papalia said that tag was outdated, encouraging all West Australians to talk up and brag about where they live.

How good is this little reminder from the 1954 Postcard from Perth created by the National Film Board.

“The people of WA know their city and they like it, so do the travellers. You will find it difficult to resist the easy charm of the city on the Swan.”
