A store clerk has been left terrified and afraid to return to work after being threatened with a gun and a machete during a two-minute robbery in Como.
Security cameras captured the hold-up at the IGA X-press store on Canning Highway just after 10pm on Wednesday.
One bandit burst in armed with a machete, then another with what looked like a shotgun.
Footage showed the female staff member, aged in her 30s, raising her hands in surrender as the first man ordered her to open the till. The second man, wearing a wide-brimmed hat to cover his face, grabbed cash from the till and stuffed it in his bag while the gun was trained on the woman.

“It’s a continuing occurrence of people thinking they can get away with it and getting away with it,” Mr Nieuwkerk said.
“I couldn’t believe that someone had a gun that size in Perth and was carrying it into an IGA.”
Mr Nieuwkerk said even though the staff member was not hurt physically, she had been traumatised by the ordeal.
“She did everything she could in her power to stay safe,” he said. “They’re cowards. No one deserves to be treated that way.”
