Another direct international flight to and from Perth Airport is expected to help boost WA’s struggling tourism industry.
Travellers will have access to daily flights seven days a week between Perth and Tokyo next year via Japan’s five-star airline, All Nippon Airways' (AHA) Boeing 787.

Japan is WA’s ninth biggest market in terms of visitors, with the state attracting 28,700 Japanese visitors in 2017-18.
Those visitors spent $60 million during their stay in WA, making Japan the 11th largest market in terms of spend.
To help promote the flight, the Federal Government has committed $1million in marketing through Tourism Australia.
Mr Papalia said it had been a priority of state and federal government to secure the flight, with the intention of further adding direct routes between Perth, China, and India in the future.
